3 Ways to Make Your Virtual Summer Program Better with Hotshot

Learning tracks cover corporate, litigation, and business topics and let summer associates learn on their schedule. Hotshot will help you keep summers engaged and rewarded with firm-branded certificates of completion, and we’ll make donations to the charity of the firm’s choice for each completed track.

Use synchronous training time to build practical skills and relationships – not to deliver one-way lectures. Hotshot training guides provide hypos, discussion questions, and instructions for facilitators and attendees.

How long does the Hotshot Summer 2021 program last?

May 1 to September 30, which means that summers can still access Hotshot for a few weeks after the firm’s summer program ends.

Who gets access to Hotshot as part of this
program?

All of your summer associates, your recruiting and professional development teams, and any lawyers at the firm involved in training.

Do you offer training and support?

Of course. Our Customer Success team will work with you on your summer training curriculum, customize learning tracks, help plan interactive Zoom sessions with partners, and generally help you make your summer program a big success.

Can you tell me more about the certificates and
charitable donations?

That’s another thing that our Customer Success team handles. We’ll send firm-branded certificates of completion when people finish the relevant tracks. Summers love to receive them and proudly post them on their LinkedIn profiles!

We’ve found that charity donations are a great way to motivate summers to complete learning tracks. The firm chooses the charity and Hotshot makes the donation (Direct Relief and the Equal Justice Initiative have been the most popular charities in the past).

Can the firm track usage?

Yes. You can access detailed usage information whenever you like.

What’s the price if I’m already a Hotshot
customer?

This program is free for law firms that subscribe to all topics. Fill in the form above or email your Hotshot Customer Success contact and we’ll be in touch to set things up.

What if we want to subscribe for the rest of the
firm?

The summer program could be a great way to pilot Hotshot. If your firm subscribes to the summer program and then goes for a full Hotshot subscription before December 31, we’ll give the firm a credit for the amount you paid for the summer program.

Who’s the team behind Hotshot?

Hotshot was started by two former leaders of Practical Law. Our team is a passionate group of legal professionals and former big-firm lawyers dedicated to improving legal education and training.

Who creates the content?

For every topic, we hire a team of experts to write, review, and edit the courses. Experts include former partners and senior associates from top law firms like Sullivan & Cromwell and Cooley and senior in-house lawyers and businesspeople from companies like Goldman Sachs and Johnson & Johnson. On top of that, our content gets reviewed by partners at leading law firms. We also work with our talented video production team to make sure everything looks and sounds great.
